Installation overview for the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services

Complete the following steps to install and configure this add-on on your supported platform.

1. Install the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services.

2. If you want to collect Azure Resource, Azure Audit, Azure Event Hub, Azure Metrics, Azure KQL Log Analytics, and Azure Consumption(Billing) data, see the following steps:

   a. Configure an application in Microsoft Entra ID for the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services.

   b. Connect to your Azure App Account with Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services.

   c. Depending on the data you want to collect, see the following links:

3. If you want to collect Azure Storage Table, Azure Storage Blob or Azure Virtual Machine Metrics data, perform the following steps:

   a. Configure a Storage Account in Microsoft Cloud Service.

   b. Connect to your Azure Storage account with the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services.
