New features¶
- Added support for Splunk platform Python 3.13 runtime while retaining support for the existing Python 3.9 runtime.
- Added Okta input observability metrics for parent and enrichment event counts, along with estimated indexed bytes.
Behavior changes¶
- The default dispatch time ranges for the Okta lookup rebuild saved
searches have been updated to avoid unintended full-history searches.
Snapshot-style app, group, app-user, and group-member lookup rebuilds
use
-2d@d. TheOkta2 user detaillookup rebuild uses-365d@dbecauseoktaim2:userdata is based on userlastUpdatedchanges. This can affect deployments that rely on a full-history user detail lookup rebuild. To keep a wider window, override the saved search earliest time in Splunk Web.
Fixed issues¶
Version 5.1.0 of the Splunk Add-on for Okta Identity Cloud contains the following fixed issues, if any.
- Redacted confidential-looking sample PII from repository tests, knowledge samples, generated fixtures, and documentation.
- Updated Okta lookup rebuild saved searches to avoid unnecessary full-history scans, remove group-member join truncation risk, and keep latest lookup state correct for app, group, app-user, group-member, and user-detail lookups.
- Added troubleshooting guidance for account stanzas missing
auth_typeso hostname-resolution failures are easier to diagnose. - Updated compatible direct and transitive dependencies used by the release package.
